About Chris Wilner
Hey everyone! Thanks for visiting my webpage.
I love storytelling, and to me it's about more than just telling -- it's about a visual journey that can take someone into the moment as if they were really there. As a motorsports reporter and announcer with a multimedia background, my career has been centered around bringing creative content and visuals plus to audiences small and large. A successful story to me, tugs at your heartstrings, changes someone's perspective, or -- especially in racing -- keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I'm originally from the Indianapolis, IN area -- a city near and dear to my heart. There, I not only was raised in a wonderful home, but my passion for sports -- and in particular motorsports, began. I've been to 15 Indianapolis 500's and even began a short but successful racing career of my own, before I attended Syracuse University and the passion for motorsports on the journalism and communications side began.
Currently, I reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area while working numerous reporter and announcing positions within The Motor Racing Network, IMSA, NASCAR Productions, FloRacing, Millbridge Speedway, and other entities that also included my network debut in 2021 with NBC Sports.
Having been a former local TV sports reporter, anchor, and veteran in TV production -- I try and find the story, within the story and seek those human interest elements that will bring fans closer to the action on a more personal level.
